The TCS New York City Marathon is the largest marathon in the world, featuring runners of all ages and abilities, from beginners to Olympic Gold Medalists. All eyes are on the tens of thousands of runners who converge at the start line in Staten Island to run 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of New York City. A million spectators line the streets and a global TV audience watches as one of the greatest spectacles in sport unfolds.
Our Solution
iCrowd designed a robust medical system consisting of 1500 medical professionals, 35 medical tents and a complete command and control system to manage resources and care for over 8000 patients on race day.
With a fully integrated radio communication system, a complete web-based incident management platform and an expert medical and command staff in place, the medical system operated efficiently and provided compassionate care for any runner who needed assistance.
Annual Results
Over a 12-hour period, runner after runner completes their journey to the finish line, exhausted from the challenge and filled with memories of a lifetime.
